At Pascale Gay, sustainability factors into each decision from the fibres we choose to the way we ship your order. Our commitment is to design responsibly, source thoughtfully, and continually reduce our environmental impact while creating garments that honour craft and longevity.

Sourcing:

·  Use of certified and traceable materials Organic cotton certified by OEKO‑TEX® and GOTS, ensuring cleaner farming, safer processing, and full traceability. Fabrics tested for over 1,000 harmful substances to protect human and environmental health.

·  Deadstock and surplus fabric sourcing Reclaimed and locally sourced deadstock fabrics to divert usable textiles from landfill and reduce demand for new fibre production. Surplus linen and other reclaimed materials given new life through design reuse.

·  Natural and biodegradable fibres Preference for fibres such as cotton, linen, silk, wool, Tencel, and Cupro — renewable, biodegradable, and not derived from fossil fuels. Support for closed‑loop production systems that recycle water and solvents.

·  Circular design principles Materials selected for clean breakdown at end‑of‑life, reducing landfill impact and microplastic pollution. Commitment to designing garments for circularity and responsible end‑of‑life pathways.

·  Low‑impact production Organic cultivation methods that reduce water and energy use, protect soil biodiversity, and eliminate synthetic pesticides. Use of eco‑friendly resin buttons, Corozo nut buttons, and recycled polyester care labels.

·  Responsible packaging FSC‑certified swing tags with waxed cotton cording and safety pins, supporting sustainable forestry and recyclable packaging, Aswell as utilising Hero Packaging for order shipments.

·  Lower‑impact international shipping All international orders are shipped using the DHL GoGreen option, reducing transport‑related emissions and supporting climate‑conscious logistics.

Continuous Improvement:

·  Future material improvements Components marked with an asterisk (*) — such as polyester threads, interlinings, and zippers — are planned to be re‑sourced using lower‑impact, eco‑friendly alternatives in upcoming seasons
